I haven’t posted art here lately but that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t productive. Things have been quite busy in the past few months, but I still managed to get some art done. Feel free to check them out over at Blue Sky (studiocyen.bsky.social).
Going forward, I think there will be more Soulframe fan arts as well as usual Warframe stuff. 😀
I also picked up a new skill this month. I’ll post some photos of my new craft later after we’re back from TennoCon.

I started playing Soulframe on March 30th, and it only took me two days before I got an idea for a drawing. I’ll probably do a simple coloring later before I move on to my big project.
A belated Lunar New Year art, but I wanted to get this done as a wish for my friends and family. 龍馬精神 means full of vigor and vitality like a horse and a dragon, and I hope my loved ones can carry on and keep going despite having health issues and other difficulties.
Lineart done with traditional media (brush pens and pigment liners). Digital edits (mainly stitching the pieces together and minor line corrections) and colors.

I’m finally putting some serious effort in building the gallery. I found a gallery plugin and lightbox plugin that I’m ok with so now I’m messing around with the settings and customization. The gallery plugin doesn’t have all the functions I’m looking for, but, eh, good enough as a start. Better to actually have something on the site than nothing, eh?
I of course will prioritize displaying commissioned work and latest completed artwork. Eventually, I’ll add choice pieces from over the years.
Funny how Caliban Prime’s release date happens to be on my 5th anniversary of becoming an official Warframe Creator. Come early September will be my 11th anniversary of playing Warframe. Having reached these milestones, I’m extremely grateful for all the people I’ve met over the years in the community. Most have been supportive and wonderful, and I feel very lucky to have a tiny community within the general Warframe community.
To celebrate this milestone anniversary, I’m giving away lots of goodies. First is the 11.5 Anniversary Giveaway over at gleam.io. I’m giving away one Caliban Prime Access, two Citrine Aphrodita Collections, and seven Chroma glyphs. The Caliban and Citrine prizes are provided by DE so those will be available on all platforms. Meanwhile, I’ll be giving the Chroma glyphs on my own so winners will need to be on PC or have cross save enabled.

I’m also planning to do an art giveaway, and I want to do ink sketches of winner’s Drifter/Operator. I still haven’t decided how I’ll do that particular giveaway just yet, but I’ll make an announcement when that’s finalized.
Whoa, my wordpress is working properly again, finally! The web host finally fixed my problem of subdomains not pointing to the right directory I can now start focusing on actually adding and updating gallery. I really want to turn my site into a proper art portfolio to showcase my work that I’ve done in the past 10 years or so. Just because I haven’t updated my website, it doesn’t mean I haven’t been drawing, and I want to finally have my site reflect the work I’ve done. For example, one of my latest drawings won a spot in the TennoCon 2025 Community Showcase.
Now I’m past this hurdle, I’ll find some time to improve and modernize my website…
I have some milestone Warframe anniversaries in August and September that I want to celebrate so check out my website and other places for announcements.
Now that I finally fixed the forum on Grandpa’s site, I can start looking at my site again. Maybe 2025 will be the year I finally get my site running properly again? XD I still need a gallery as well as upload literally years worth of stuff. I want to treat my website as my home on the internet again, lol.
With the latest brouhaha over at you-know-where, I’m trying to be more active over at Bsky. I appreciate those who manage to find me again, and judging by the recent flurry of activities, I’m hoping more people will finally migrate over there, including me.
